In this module, we were required to continue from the Research Proposal developed in the previous semester. In Semester 5, we were required to come up with the Research Proposal as well as Literature Review. For this semester, we managed to complete our dissertation by fulfilling the other three chapters which are Research Methodology, Data Analysis as well as the Conclusion and Findings.
For my topic which is the Disputes between contractors and consultants regarding the granting and assessment of Extension of Time, I was asked to draft out interview questions that would be asked for my interview sessions with contractors and consultants. I drafted questions based on my objectives and decided that I would carry out a structured interview process where I would limit my questions only to those I have drafted and confirmed upon, before the interview sessions. After the questions were finalized, I started making appointments with contractors as well as consultants.
The findings from the interview sessions carried out were listed down and used for my chapter on Data Analysis. There were, however limitations throughout the process of completing the dissertation which included how interview sessions were hard to schedule for because a lot of contractors as well as consultants are busy and would not want to entertain students for any meet up or appointments.
All in all, ultimately I still enjoyed this module as the end product which is our complete dissertation shows our hard work and all our effort paid off. At the end of the module, we were given a short quiz treasure hunt which was planned by our lecturer, Ms. Theong. This was conducted in a gaming approach where all of us were divided into groups randomly and we were asked to prepare quiz questions which would later be drawn by every group. Every group held another group's questions and everything was planned in a treasure hunt concept where we had to hide clues around the campus to lead the group to the following questions. Both speed as well as accuracy in answering the questions are the main aims for this assessment which we were graded upon.

Personally I really enjoyed the module as this was definitely different than the rest. We weren't asked to do any memorizing or go through any midterms/finals for this module but the lectures we had were solely to aid in our preparation of our dissertation. I learnt how to come up with a dissertation and I am grateful for having Ms. Theong as our lecturer who is herself very well-versed in Dissertations, always ready for consultation as well as ever ready to provide us advices whenever we are in need.
