Management Science - QSB 2413

Through this subject I managed to learn theories, concepts and principles of management. I also learnt the various organisational characteristics, structure, behaviour and effectiveness of organisations. We were introduced to decision making strategies, analysis tools and motivation concepts as well. Among the topics we covered were;

There was a midterm test held on Week 7 of our semester. The test covered 3 main topics which were the Introduction to Management, Managing in a Dynamic Environment and Strategic Management topic. We had in-class assessments where we took part in tutorials and had presentations in class.

We were given a group assignment where we had to create a video/movie based on a topic given by the lecturer. Our group got the Motivation topic. Not only were we required to create a movie but we were asked to type out a report as well. We had two lectures where we had screening of every group's movie and we got to see the works of other groups.

Our final examinations would cover all topics except the topics which came out for our midterm test.

Overall, I have learnt more than what I expected from this subject. Not only it taught me the skills needed as my job requirement in the future but it definetely taught me what I would need as a responsible person. This subject carries and focuses on many qualities in life which a person would have to learn and would need to be able to be successful and respectable.
